Hi there!

My name is Finlay, a 19-year-old aspiring mountain guide from Cirencester. Earlier this summer, I had the incredible experience of summiting Mont Blanc and now I’m preparing for my next challenge: an expedition to Mera Peak, a breathtaking 6,476-meter mountain in the Himalayas of Nepal. I will embark on this journey on 8th November, 2025.

This expedition holds deep personal significance for me. In 2022, my dad was diagnosed with mouth cancer, enduring challenging surgery and a lengthy recovery. Witnessing his struggle inspired me to raise awareness and funds for the Mouth Cancer Foundation, an organisation dedicated to supporting individuals affected by mouth and throat cancers, along with their families and caregivers. This experience opened my eyes to how life is both incredibly short and can change in an instant, guiding us in unexpected directions. As a result, I’m pursuing a career in the mountains and challenged myself to reach summits I once thought were impossible. I believe this is how I can live life to the fullest while helping others and supporting an incredible foundation.

Every donation and contribution, no matter the size, and will be invaluable in supporting my journey and the mission of the Mouth Cancer Foundation. This expedition is entirely self-funded.
