Keeping children active during cancer treatment is key to their mental wellbeing and at Supershoes we personalise footwear to help get kids on their feet to boost wellbeing, restore a sense of self and remind them of the things they love. This isn't about cancer this is about Super Kids!

Story

Hi everyone, my names Finley and I’m 11 years old.

A couple of months ago, I heard the devastating news that one of my closest friends, Luke, had been diagnosed with AML. A rare and aggressive form of leukaemia.

During his time in hospital, Luke has received support from several different charities, and I’d really like to try and raise some money for one of them.

So, On the 21st December, I’ll be shaving my hair off to try and fundraise for a charity called Supershoes.

Supershoes is a small charity based in Milton Keynes that make a personalised pair of Converse trainers for each child receiving treatment for cancer. Every pair are hand painted by a ‘super artist’ and capture all of that child’s favourite things. Each pair cost £100 to produce and deliver, so my aim is to raise at least £500 which will cover the costs for five children, and hopefully brighten up their day a little.

If you are able to support me on this venture, no matter how big or small the donation, myself and the charity would very much appreciate it!

Thanks for taking the time to read my story
