Hi There.

My name is Finley and alongside my mates at the University of Chester Rowing Club I will be raising money for River Action by running the Chester Half Marathon. River Action is UK charity that campaigns for safer quality and against abuse of our beautiful UK rivers.

This charity is incredibly close to my heart as a consistent user of my local river for the sport of rowing. Without high water quality levels, there is a threat that I can’t do the sport I love and that the beautiful rivers that are home to so many incredible species are under threat.

It is simply a fact that the rivers in this country need a clean up and that exposure to UK rivers can cause serious harm. One of my friends Matt became seriously ill following a capsize on a UK river loosing over 11KG from the rivers harmful effects.

So join me in supporting River Action in their efforts to clean up UK rivers and turn them into safe and beautiful spaces we can all use without the risks again.
