Story
In December 2024, my Auntie JoJo was diagnosed with Stage 4 bowel cancer. Since then, she's spent much of the time going through chemotherapy and surgery.
Treatment has successfully removed the tumour from her bowel, which has been an incredible step forward. However, her treatment isn't over. The cancer has spread elsewhere, and she continues to face treatment and everything that comes with it.
My Auntie has maintained her strength, optimism, and love for the world (especially animals) while still raising three of her youngest children. She has refused to let her chemotherapy, operations, and appointments stop life around her.
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, with somebody diagnosed on average at least every 75 seconds in the UK. Seeing someone you love go through cancer makes you realise that these are not just statistics.
So, this October, I'll be taking on a 12,000ft charity skydive in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, an amazing charity that has supported my Auntie from the beginning.
The skydive will be paid for out of pocket, so 100% of funds raised will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
