LFBC Hugs-In-A-Bag 2021

Run walk 140 miles in August
A few months ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer, thankfully it was found early after being scanned twice. Following surgery and appointments I was given a bag called Hug in a Bag, The bags are full of goodies like smellies, nail varnish, teddy cushion scarf, just to name a few things. It was lovely to get such a nice gift.
Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer (LFBC) is a registered charity, in its 21st year, providing personal, emotional and practical support to women with or recovering from breast cancer.
During the pandemic, LFBC were acutely aware of the impacts that forced isolation may be having on women receiving the devastating breast cancer diagnosis; the Hugs-In-A-Bag initiative was launched to provide practical support, as well as a virtual hug to women going through chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment.
Each bag costs £35 to create; LFBC provide each bag completely free of charge to women across Co. Durham hospitals.
Before I start my next step of radiotherapy and maybe chemo, I thought I would help raise some funds towards this charity, so they can continue providing these lovely bags to ladies who are going through the challenges of breast cancer.
IM planning to run, walk 140 miles over August, I've found exercise and fresh air helps me mentally with some of the challenges. Thank you for your support.
Also thank you to those at DMH who have looked after me well over the last few months. Your all stars Xx❤️
