Hi I’m taking on this challenge as supporting young people with Mental health needs are issues very close to my heart. As a mother of a child with learning disabilities I know first hand what’s it like if you don’t fit in and find life overwhelming. We were lucky and my son got the support he needed.

The Rendezvous has been helping young people (13-25) from North Dorset/South Somerset to navigate difficult lives and challenging circumstances for 27 years.

We want a world where all young people are able to thrive. We want them to have the skills and support they need to navigate difficult lives, overcome challenging circumstances and a lack of opportunities to become resilient, confident and optimistic for their future as they transition into adulthood.

Recently Ella (17) shared her story to an audience of 70. From “school dropout” with extreme anxiety at 11, to Rendezvous learner at 13 she passed her exams with us last year and is now at college where she is studying a Level 3 vocational course and has a social life. The gains are more than just academic – they are life-changing.
