Story
I am asking for donations to the pilgrims hospice's because like all of us I have lost friends and family who have spent their final days in their care, the empathy and compassion not to mention the expertise in pain and symptom control is incredible. Its important to support hospices because hospitals are so busy, they haven't got the time, resources or expertise to give what is needed to someone with a terminal illness.
While volunteering there, I see first hand how wonderful the staff are, when patients are admitted you can visibly see them relax, knowing everything will be taken care of, including support for their family.
Hospices are charities and require a lot of money to keep them running, which is where I come in, I have wanted to climb Kilimanjaro for several years, I have climbed the highest peaks in the UK, the Yorkshire 3 peaks, along with peaks in the Alps and Pyrenees, also 50 mountains in Scotland (called Fiona's) when I was 50, I discovered I love climbing mountains, so Kilimanjaro is next on the list. I'm paying for the trip so ALL donations given will go directly to the hospices.
So please can you donate, whatever you can spare, I will be very grateful,
Thank you so much
