I adopted my first rabbits in 2022 and since then my fluffle have grown, with four buns living permanently in my house.

I now foster for The Littlest Lives Rescue, helping to give abandoned, neglected and mistreated rabbits a second chance.

My eyes have been opened to the neglect and apathy towards rabbits. They are highly social, intelligent and curious animals. They feel pain, sadness, loneliness. Yet they are bred for profit, kept in tiny hutches, often abandoned like unwanted gifts.

Rabbits are the third most popular pet in the UK, with an estimated 1.3 million pet rabbits in the country. They are also the most misunderstood, with many being bought from breeders with no proper advice on their care, sold with illnesses and many sold as the wrong gender, leading to "accidental" litters.

The Littlest Lives strives to educate on how to care properly for rabbits and encourages adopting animals instead of buying from breeders or pet stores.
