Story
I am absolutely over the moon to be running the London Marathon for Teenage Cancer Trust. I’m so excited and proud to be able to run the London Marathon and raise money to help provide life changing care and support for young people facing a cancer diagnosis. I’m excited to take on the challenge, and to hopefully raise lots of money to support such a fantastic charity!
Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity providing specialised nursing care and support for young people with cancer.
BMW UK Group is proud to be supporting Teenage Cancer Trust to ensure that no young person faces cancer alone.
You only get one chance at being young, and those years shape the person you become. Friendships, mental health, body image, studies, work, relationships and choices about the future are hard enough to navigate – before a cancer diagnosis shatters everything.
Teenage Cancer Trust’s units don’t feel like hospital – they’re bright, contemporary spaces where young people can be treated alongside others their own age.
And their expert nurses and youth workers are specially trained to help young people navigate everything cancer throws at them, from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.
