Story
On the evening of Friday 8th May 2026, Fiona, Evie, Caroline and Ellie will be setting off on the 10km Star Trekk to raise funds for Queenscourt Hospice in Southport. The hospice is dear to all our hearts after Caroline’s Mum (Ellie’s Gran), Christine Cutner, and Fiona’s Dad (Evie’s Grandad), Nick Reed, were cared for by Queenscourt through the inpatient and at home services in 2014 and 2018, respectively. Fiona’s family friend, Barbara Lee, was also under the care of Queenscourt Hospice in 2022.
We know first-hand how vital the services provided by Queenscourt are for patients and their families and are devastated to hear of the current funding crisis the hospice is facing (along with many other hospices up and down the country), potentially threatening its future. We are determined to do what we can to help raise essential funds to enable the hospice to continue delivering its services locally in Southport and to the wider community including Formby and West Lancashire.
Any support will be gratefully received and will spur us on through the walk. Thank you so much! Fiona, Evie, Caroline & Ellie x x x x
