One More Lap for Kids’ Village 2025 · 21 September 2025 ·

Join us to run One More Lap of Lichfield’s Stowe Pool and help us reach our £50,000 fundraising goal to offer seriously ill children magical stays, like no other.

Story

The PI-KEM Plodders are 'tuning up' ready to for 'One More Lap', an ultra-endurance relay event. Six of the PI-KEM Team will be joining forces to make up our 'Minion Mayhem' Team, competing (well joining in!) to complete as many laps of Stowe Pool as they can in 12 hours.

We are no elite team but we will be having lots of fun in our PI-KEM Bannanna Base with our designated Gru Crew and Sid, our rescue scooter!

Our Plodders on the day will be a mix of our advanced team - those who can run, our beginners - they can walk and apprentices - they can breathe!

This is going to be a huge challenge for us all but we are excited to be taking part in Lichfield’s first ultramarathon and it’s all in the name of a good cause – with every penny raised going to local charity, Kids’ Village.

Kids’ Village is set to be the UK’s first respite holiday village for sick children & their families. The village, set to be built in Wychnor just outside Lichfield, will be a place for children to enjoy time together with their families in nature, free from daily challenges of battling a serious illness.

If you can help us smash our target of last year of £1100 we would be so grateful or just come along and give us some encouragement on the day - we plan on being the noisiest bunch so bring your noise makers with you!
