I ran the great north run last year to raise money for the hospice who looked after my mam. I developed symptoms after which was diagnosed as an aggressive brain tumour I've had surgery and radiotherapy and chemotherapy but I sadly can't work now and have retired on health grounds.

My colleagues from Rother House have been fantastic and are rallying again to help me raise money for a charity dedicated to brain tumour research and support. We are doing a cycleathon in the waiting room over24hours to cover in total the distance from Paris to London, 260 miles.
