Story
On 4th October Fiona & Judith will take part in a Lantern Memory Walk hosted by Meningitis Now.
As sisters, we will walk together around Wythenshawe Park and remember our darling Alice - beautiful daughter/niece. She was our sunshine, and it seems fitting that as the sun sets and dusk falls, we will remember that she was taken too soon.
Meningitis has been in the news through 2026 and Meningitis Now support many families that have been impacted by this illness, and campaign for further UK immunisation programmes.
If you feel able to donate, even a small amount, to support their work we would be so very, very grateful.
Meningitis Now is the first meningitis patient group in the world, founders of the meningitis movement and the only charity dedicated to fighting meningitis in the UK. Since 1986 they have invested over £12.7m in early stage research.
The money we raise will help fund vital awareness of the signs and symptoms of the disease, while supporting further research into meningitis and helping provide everything from counselling to adaptive equipment for those whose lives have been changed forever by meningitis.
