Fiona's ‘Fifty miles for Phoebe’

Walking 50 miles through the summer holidays
We are fundraising for Phoebe's Tree of Hope campaign.
Our beautiful daughter Phoebe was born 10 weeks early and faced challenges from the very start. During her early days, she suffered a bleed on the brain and was later diagnosed with cerebral palsy. As a result, Phoebe is a wheelchair user, and everyday tasks that many take for granted are a constant struggle for her.
Despite everything, Phoebe is full of life, determination, and joy. She inspires us daily with her strength and bravery—but with your support we have a chance to give her a new level of freedom.
We’ve been offered a lifeline as Phoebe has been assessed as a suitable candidate for a life changing procedure called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR). This procedure would reduce the muscle tightness that causes Phoebe pain and limits her movement. With SDR and intensive physiotherapy, there’s a real hope Phoebe will gain more control of her movements, build strength and most importantly achieve more independence and confidence.
Unfortunately, for Phoebe the SDR is not funded by the NHS, and the total cost—including surgery, rehabilitation, and essential therapies—is going to be at least £40,000.
This is where we need your help.
Whether you're able to donate, share our story, or support us in any way, you’ll be helping Phoebe get one step closer to a future where she can walk more freely, play more independently and explore the world alongside her twin sister Mia, with greater ease and confidence.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you.
