Story
Primrose Unit - Bedford Hospital
Every year, Paulo Pontine House at Bedford School selects a charity to support. To do this, each tutor group chooses a charity and presents their choice to the house. Following these presentations in House Assembly, all boys vote. This year’s winner, by a long way, is the Primrose Unit at Bedford Hospital.
The proposal was put forward by Mr Grimshaw’s tutor group, as one of the boys in the tutor group has a personal connection to the charity.
We therefore feel it is important that we support a local organisation that does so much positive work in our community.
The boys in Paulo Pontine aim to run at least 200 kilometres to raise money for this important charity.
All the boys in the house are being encouraged to take part in the charity run so we would be very grateful for your support.
The Primrose Unit
The Primrose Unit at Bedford Hospital is the main oncology unit for the local area and provides vital care for thousands of cancer patients every year. It offers treatment, support, advice, prosthetics and wellbeing services, guiding patients from initial diagnosis through to treatment and ongoing emotional, practical and financial support.
Thanks for supporting our fundraising. The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, and every one of them needs the best support to meet their unique needs.
