Story

This year, as I turn 40, I’m taking on the Manchester Marathon to raise money for The Gordon Craig Fund, a supporter group of The Brain Tumour Charity, in memory of my dad. After losing him to brain cancer almost 7 years ago, my sister and I have raised over £50k in his honour through various events and having amazing supporters. We continue to promote the charity in the hope of a cure someday.

Brain cancer is the biggest cancer killer of people under 40, yet it still doesn’t receive the attention or funding it desperately needs. By running and fundraising, I hope to help support vital research, improve treatments, and raise awareness of a disease that affects so many families. Every step I take is for my dad, and for everyone whose lives have been impacted by a brain tumour.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Any donation, no matter the amount will help get me through the gruelling training and will help every single person affected by a brain tumour.

Thank you.
