Story
Walk in Their Boots: Rutland Water Challenge
Most people run away from danger.
Firefighters run towards it.
On Thursday 20th August 2026, the Firechief® Global team will be taking on the Rutland Water Challenge as part of our Walk in Their Boots campaign, in aid of the Fire Fighters Charity.
Our team will walk around Rutland Water while carrying the weight of firefighter gear. This challenge is about more than distance. It is about recognising the physical and emotional weight carried by firefighters, retired fire service personnel, and the wider fire family every single day.
The Fire Fighters Charity provides vital support to serving and retired fire and rescue service personnel and their families. This includes help with injury, rehabilitation, treatment, mental health, wellbeing, and life after service.
At Firechief®, fire safety is not just what we do. It is why we exist. Supporting the people who protect us is a cause that means a great deal to our team, our customers, our suppliers, and our wider fire safety community.
Our goal is to raise £1,000 to support the Fire Fighters Charity and the life-changing work they do.
Every donation, big or small, helps make a difference.
Thank you for supporting our challenge and helping us walk in their boots.
