AHL's fundraiser for Bowel Cancer UK

Jamie Miles is raising money for Bowel Cancer UK

Ring of Fire Relay Ultra Marathon · 4 September 2026

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

At Anglesey Holiday Lettings, fundraising has become part of who we are.

Each year, we take on a series of fundraising challenges to support charities that make a real difference. In 2026 alone, AHL are taking on five endurance challenges, all in aid of charities close to our hearts. Every event is another opportunity to raise awareness, encourage donations and give something back.

Our next challenge is the Isle of Anglesey's Ring of Fire Relay, a 135-mile race around the spectacular coastline of the Isle of Anglesey on Friday 4 September 2026, raising money for Bowel Cancer UK.

Originally, we had planned to take on the full Ring of Fire. However, after Jamie picked up several injuries following the Brecon Trail Marathon, the Fandance Challenge and then the London Marathon, we had to make a sensible decision. Rather than risking further injury and potentially jeopardising the rest of our fundraising calendar, Jamie & Barbs will take on the Ring of Fire Relay instead this year.

Training for endurance events is demanding. It means early mornings, long runs, tired legs and finding the time to train whilst working in a busy business. There are sacrifices along the way, but they pale into insignificance when compared with the challenges faced by those living with bowel cancer.

Bowel Cancer UK works tirelessly to raise awareness, provide support to patients and families, campaign for earlier diagnosis and fund life-saving research. We're proud to support their work and hope this challenge will help make a small difference.

If you're able to donate, no matter how much, we'd be incredibly grateful. Every pound raised goes directly to Bowel Cancer UK and every message of support helps carry us through another mile.

Thank you for supporting not only this challenge, but our wider fundraising journey throughout the year.
