Story

In December of 2022 we lost our friend and colleague Sean Broadfoot when he passed away suddenly. Sean was a wonderful person in so many ways. He was a fantastic Pupil Support Leader and was a source of support and strength for so many of the pupils and families in our Firrhill community. Sean was a man who lit up every room he walked into and we are all trying to #bemoreSean in everything that we do.

Sean passed away due to a condition called Cardiomyopathy, which is rare and can easily be missed or mis-diagnosed. Cardiomyopathy UK are a charity that works to research and raise awareness of the condition. It also helps to support the families who are affected by this condition. Sean left behind a wonderful young family and it is for them and everyone who knew Sean that we undertake this challenge.

On the 10th May 2024, 12 staff members from Firrhill High School will undertake the '3 Peaks Challenge', to climb the highest 3 mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in the space of 24 hours! We will be supported by other members of staff as our 'designated drivers' and we'll be giving it our all to complete the challenge in time.

If you can support our efforts and most importantly, this important cause we would very much appreciate it.
