I am delighted to announce Molly Olly as our chosen charity partner.

Molly Olly supports children with life-threatening illnesses and their families by granting “Wishes”, small moments of joy that bring comfort, happiness, and smiles during the toughest journeys. At Fitt4Kids, we strive to inspire children through sport, making every session fun, inclusive and enjoyable. Although we do it in different ways, we share the same goal: supporting children’s happiness and wellbeing.

To help raise money for Molly Olly, parents will be able to make an optional 50p donation when booking onto any of our sessions. We also have a JustGiving page, a sponsored school cycle planned and we’re organising a charity football match, with more fundraising ideas to follow!

Fitt4kids management team will be cycling 31 miles, visiting 7 schools along the way to raise money for Molly Olly’s.

When children are newly diagnosed with any life-threatening illness, the shock to both parents and patients is immense. Olly The Brave was developed with this in mind, to help with the child’s emotional well-being. There are two Ollys available – one with a central or Hickman line, and one with a portacath (port). Both central lines (which have tubes visible externally) and ports (which are installed under the skin) enable medication to be administered and bloods to be taken without the repeated use of needles. You can choose which version of Olly is most relevant to the child’s situation. Olly also has a detachable mane that helps to explain and normalise the hair-loss that comes with many types of chemotherapy.

A donation of £8 would provide an Olly the Brave book to a child or hospital to help them understand diagnosis and treatment through the character of Olly the Lion.

A donation of £20 would provide a therpeautic toy lion- Olly the Brave.

A donation of £500 is typically enough to grant a wish for a child, but I don’t want us to stop there. There are no limits to what we can achieve together, and every penny raised will make a difference to a family when they need it most.
