Story

Team FFS are supporting the National Paralympic Heritage Trust by the climbing the equivalent of Ben Nevis!

Charlie, Matt, Simon and Amy will be part of a team climbing 28 walls each in just a few hours in Milton Keynes to help raise much needed funds for this wonderful charity. There will certainly be some very sore arms by the end of the day.

The National Paralympic Heritage Trust is a tiny charity with a huge name and a lot of responsibility!

They are guardians of the Paralympic heritage and do amazing work with children using the Paralympic story. Their work includes using the collections to educate and break down negative perceptions towards disability, alongside providing inspiring role models for disabled children. This is such important work because disabled children still face an enormous level of bullying, but as a charity, the Trust must fundraise 95% of its income to be able to do this.

It costs £5 to reach and talk to every child in the Buckinghamshire area, so this campaign is to cover the costs of delivering disability workshops and assemblies to 7 more classes of schoolchildren in the next school year. And hopefully many more! 9% of children in the UK have a disability, which is almost 3 children in every class that need to be better understood, accepted, and be able to expect equal chances in life.
