Story
Myself and a couple mates Gregor and Callum have all raised funds for different charities before, and we decided to do an event together this summer. Greg and Cal came up with the idea of doing a charity football game and after some hard-work they formed FK FC, a team made up of personal friends.
The three of us felt having more people raise not just funds but also awareness surrounding male mental health was important, football can be an escape for many people from issues in their personal life and gives them a social group to bond in. CALM is a great movement which we all agreed would be a good campaign to raise funds for.
We're looking forward to facing The Scottish YouTube Team on Saturday, the 24th of June, taking place at Ochilview Park, with kick off at 3:30pm. The SYT have agreed to give up their time and take part in a great cause which we are thankful for, the content creators have taken part in numerous charity matches before for very worthy causes and were a big help in organising this match, they're sure to be a good opponent.
We’re also pleased that Stenhousemuir are allowing spectators, meaning that anyone can come down to the game and help support the cause. We're hoping to see as many people as possible come to the game and have a good day out for a positive movement. There's also the option to donate using one of our donation buckets on the day.
Venue - Ochilview Park, Stenhousemuir, FK5 4QL
Date - 24/06/2023
