Story
Fletcher Moorland Supporting the Douglas Macmillan Hospice
At Fletcher Moorland, community is at the soul of everything we do. As a business proudly rooted in Stoke-on-Trent, we know just how important it is to give back to the people and places that have helped shape us. That's why this year, we're thrilled to announce that we’re raising funds for a charity that holds a special place in the hearts of many across our city; the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.
Known lovingly to locals simply as "Dougie Mac," the hospice has been providing incredible care and support for patients and their families for over 50 years. Their dedication to offering comfort, dignity, and compassion at the most difficult times is truly inspiring. It’s no surprise that they’re a cause close to so many in Stoke and beyond.
To show our support, we’ve got some exciting fundraising activities lined up; and we’d love you to support them!
Taking on the Potters 'Arf for Dougie Mac
First up, we’re incredibly proud to announce that three of our fantastic team members, Andy Mansell, Joe Adams, and Mitch Rowe – will be taking part in this year’s Potters 'Arf Marathon this September.
The Potters 'Arf is a renowned event here in Stoke-on-Trent, famous for its friendly atmosphere, challenging course, and the incredible sense of community spirit it inspires. It's no easy feat, the notorious "Heartbreak Hill" ready to test even the fittest runners! Andy, Joe, and Mitch ensure us there training routine of cheese and sausage oatcakes won’t prevent them from lacing up their trainers and taking it all in their stride for an amazing cause.
As they train and prepare for the big day, we'll also be hosting a series of fundraising activities to rally support and raise as much money as possible for Dougie Mac. Keep your eyes peeled for updates on our social media channels and website!
A Special Mention: The Limited Edition Fletcher Moorland Mug
