We all know someone who has been affected by Dementia and the Alzheimer’s Society is working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives, it’s a fantastic cause and one I’m happy to support today.

On to the flight itself! We’re going on an incredible GA adventure flying from Keflavik (BIKF) in Iceland to Kangerlussuaq (BGSF), Greenland with a pit stop in Kulusuk (BGKK). This is a dangerous trip flying between the frigid Denmark Strait and then the emptiness of Greenland, an epic 6-hour adventure with nothing but sea and ice in-between. To add to the challenge, I intend the hand fly most of the sector, only utilising the rudimentary Autopilot for comfort breaks and to read donations!

We need a general aviation aircraft up to the job and there isn’t one better than the excellent A2A Simulations Piper Comanche!

The target to raise for the Alzheimer’s Society is an ambitious £2075. Reaching this amount will mean the total amount raised during flightdeck2sim charity livestreams will be an incredible £25,000!!
