Flora runs the London Landmarks half marathon for Micro Rainbow

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·
I’m running my first half marathon at the London Landmarks race on the 6th April, raising funds for Micro Rainbow, a charity supporting LGBTQ+ refugees fleeing to the UK from persecution.
Every donation, no matter how small, will directly support Micro Rainbow’s vital work, providing social inclusion, safe housing, and employability workshops for LGBTQ+ refugees in need.
As part of the LGBTQ+ community and Talent Director at wax Talent (the UK’s first LGBTQ+ dedicated talent agency), I’m grateful to live in a country where LGBTQ+ people are free from state persecution. Unfortunately, in 64 countries, LGBTQ+ people face criminalisation, with the death penalty possible in 12. Micro Rainbow is doing essential work to help LGBTQ+ refugees rebuild their lives and find safety here in the UK.
Your support will help fund:
· Safe housing for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers
· Employability workshops to build essential skills
· Social inclusion events to combat isolation

Thank you for any donation you’re able to make!

More information about Micro Rainbow:
Founded in 2012 Micro Rainbow is the leading not for profit organisation in the UK supporting the integration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer and intersex (LGBTQI) people who flee persecution and reach the UK in search of safety. Micro Rainbow’s holistic approach to integration is based on three pillars: safe housing, social inclusion, and employability support. These programmes ensure that LGBTQI refugees are not only safe but also able to live fulfilling, independent lives. Micro Rainbow has won several awards for innovation and as a top social enterprise and is recognised for creating the first ever national safe housing scheme for LGBTQI people fleeing persecution, with a capacity of 31,000 bed-nights a year. Micro Rainbow is committed to eradicating the homelessness of people fleeing persecution in the UK. It continues to raise social investment to make that happen.
