Story
My dad was full of life — a successful businessman, a passionate sportsman, and the funniest person I knew. But behind the laughter, he struggled with alcohol addiction.
Alcohol-related liver disease slowly took him from us. He didn’t feel empowered to seek help, and like many families, we watched helplessly as his health declined.
That’s why the work of the British Liver Foundation is so vital. They raise awareness, fund research, and provide support to those affected by liver disease and addiction. By taking on the epic 874-mile Land’s End to John O’Groats virtual challenge, we are helping to raise awareness and vital funds to ensure that no one has to face liver disease alone — to honour my dad’s memory and help others find the support he never had.
Together, one step at a time, we can go the distance for liver health.
