Story
We are running the Florence Marathon on the 30th of November to support The Goed Life's latest project - The Cube Cooking College in Kingsthorpe, Northampton. Teaching people with learning disabilities how to cook, bringing them independence and teaching them to live healthily and happily! And of course some epic recipes to try with their friends and family at home over Christmas.
It costs £75 a day per student for cooking college. The Goed Life funds 10 students per week for a total of £3,000 a month.
Funds will go towards cooking supplies, carers and chefs to keep the pots and pans spinning and bellies and hearts full!
The Goed Life is a charity very close to us, started by Ned and his Mother, Laura, to support adults with learning disabilities. Ned's brother, Sam, has Down's Syndrome and a life long search for meaning and purpose in Sam's life led them to start The Goed Life. The charity supports local projects in Northamptonshire that enhance the lives of adults with learning disabilities.
Your support is hugely appreciated, thank you!
