In June last year we said goodbye to our beloved best friend, resident squirrel chaser, rescued blue brindle greyhound Flo. We were privileged to have been in her company for three wonderful years, although we wish we had more time. Flo did everything with us - she was our goofy four-legged shadow. Known on the Norwich coffee scene for sprawling her gangly legs across the floor with no regard for drinks and pastries overhead, feared by wildlife at Mousehold Heath, and an expert at finding half-eaten kebabs in bushes. She was a truly special dog who touched the heart of everyone she met. When our daughter Clementine was born less than two months after we lost Flo, we gave her the middle name Florence - so that her legacy would live on in our family.

On the anniversary of Flo's death this June, we are walking the complete 26-mile Marriott's Way footpath in her memory - and raising money for Yarmouth Greyhound Homefinders, where Flo was rescued from in 2022. The footpath will take us from Norwich to Aylsham through the Norfolk countryside and takes around nine hours to complete. We would be delighted to be joined by family, friends and hounds at points throughout the walk.

Yarmouth Greyhound Homefinders is a small, independent charity tirelessly run by Molly and a dedicated team of volunteers, committed to finding loving homes for retired greyhounds and providing the best possible care to the greyhounds while they are awaiting adoption. Over 2,600 greyhounds have found loving homes thanks to Molly and the team, including our lovely girl Flo. We have been so grateful to the team and the community over the years, and the money raised will make a huge difference to the lives of the hounds they care for.
