Laura and Poppy's fundraiser for the Great North Air Ambulance Service - entry#140632

Whirlybird Walkies Event
Hi everyone, thanks so much for your support.
Poppy and I are taking part in the Whirlybird Walkies Event during May 2025.
We are going to walk 30 miles together in May to hopefully fundraise £300 for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
------------------------------
The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria, and the Isle of Man. Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident whether that is on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to 2,083 call outs in 2024 alone, via their helicopter and emergency response vehicles, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.
------------------------------
Many of you may know Poppy became extremely sick last year and required life-saving surgery and veterinary care, which saw us having to leave the Isle of Man for her treatments, so we know full well what it's like to need to travel for life saving care.
Thankfully Poppy turned an amazing 11 years old this February, and while walking 30 miles in a month may not sound like a whole lot, it is to Poppy and her little legs.
Anything that you are able to spare to help us reach our goal of £300 will be very gratefully received.
Don't forget to use the gift aid feature to allow the charity to reclaim an extra 25% in tax on every eligible donation made by a UK taxpayer!
Thank You 🙏
