Help Give a Little Boy with Cancer a Fighting Chance

We carry out sustainable development work to provide water, food, shelter, healthcare, education in the long-term. We work to support orphans and children, help people into employment and build livelihoods to support their families, and provide essential life skills to the most disadvantaged.

Story

As-salamu alaykum to my Muslims and non-Muslims alike, peace mercy and blessings be upon you all.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Your support, whether through a donation, a share or a du'a, means more than you know.

I volunteer with DUA Charity, an organisation dedicated to supporting some of the world's most vulnerable communities by providing access to clean water, food, shelter, healthcare, education and sustainable support for families in need.

Recently, the charity met a father whose 2-year-old son had been diagnosed with cancer. No parent should ever have to hear those words, and no child should have to endure such a devastating illness.

The little boy urgently needs six chemotherapy sessions. Each treatment costs around £300, meaning £1,800 is needed to give him the chance to fight this disease. His family have exhausted their savings, borrowed what they can, and are now relying on the kindness of others.

This appeal is deeply personal to me. I lost my beloved sister after her brave battle with cancer, so I know the heartbreak this illness leaves behind. That is why I wanted to do everything I could to help this little boy and others facing similar circumstances.

Here in the UK, we are blessed to have access to treatment through the NHS. Sadly, many families around the world do not have that safety net. For them, lifesaving treatment is only possible through the generosity of others.

If we raise more than the amount needed for this little boy's treatment, every extra penny will go towards helping other children and families supported by DUA Charity who are facing urgent medical needs.

If you are able to donate, no matter how small the amount, it will make a real difference. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this appeal with your family and friends. Your share could reach someone who is able to help.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity and prayers. May Allah (SWT) accept your charity, reward you abundantly, and bless you and your loved ones with good health, happiness and barakah. Ameen
