Story
On 15th October 2025, our whole world fell apart when our beautiful grandson Blair was born sleeping at full term.
We were all so excited and hopeful, dreaming and planning for the future we believed lay ahead. In a single moment, it was all taken from us, leaving our family devastated by an unimaginable loss and pain that no words can really describe.
We are taking on the challenge of walking the West Highland Way — a 96-mile trek from Milngavie to Fort William, through some of the most stunning scenery Scotland has to offer. We will complete the walk over six full days. Apart from the first night, where we will stay in a hotel, it’s hiking huts and hostels from there on in.
Our purpose is to raise money for Fife Health Charity, and in particular the Cherry Blossom Suite 🌸 at Kirkcaldy Victoria Hospital (Snowdrop Fund)
This is a place no parent should ever find themselves.
The love, care, and emotional support they provided our daughter Kaitlyn and her partner Mark was second to none. We don’t think we would have been able to navigate that first week without them.
By supporting this walk, you are helping ensure that families facing the most heartbreaking moments of their lives receive compassion, dignity, and care when they need it most.
The funds raised will help support vital equipment purchases, cold cots, and the general running costs of the suite, ensuring families continue to receive the care they so desperately need.
Every step we take, every mile we walk, every blister, sore legs, and tired moment will be for Blair.
These footprints are for Blair. 💙
Thank you for taking the time to read, share, and support us.
