Story

On June 6th 2026, Simon (Darwin's Daddy) and a group of close friends will take on the Three Peaks Challenge - climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in just 24 hours.

This challenge is in loving memory of our beautiful, brown-haired, button-nosed, blue-eyed boy, Darwin Simon Leo Jarvis.

Darwin died unexpectedly at 34 weeks & 2 days. He was born quietly into the world a few days later on 31/10/2025 at 1:05 AM. There are no words that can fully describe the devastation of losing a baby that you loved, planned a life for, and dreamed about. Being a matter of weeks away from meeting Darwin and losing him in the blink of an eye is an earth-shattering and unbearable pain we now live with. He was perfect in every single way. Currently, there has been no reason identified as to why we had to say goodbye to our son.

Despite the heartbreak, we were given an irreplaceable gift. We were able to spend six precious days in the hospital as a family - holding Darwin, loving him, talking to him and creating memories we will cherish forever. That time together will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

Our fundraising target is set to £3,110.00 in honour of Darwin's birthday (31/10) as a way of keeping him at the heart of everything we are doing.

We are raising money for The Lily Mae Foundation, a charity that supports families affected by pregnancy loss, stillbirth and infant death. Their compassionate work helps parents navigate the unimaginable, offering counselling and emotional support during the darkest days, and long after the world expects you to cope.

By supporting this challenge, you are helping to:

- Ensure bereaved parents receive vital emotional support

- Help families feel less alone in their grief

- Raise awareness of babyloss and the lifelong impact this has

- Honour Darwin's life and the love we will always have for him

If you are able to donate or share this page, you will be helping The Lily Mae Foundation continue their invaluable work.

The day our precious baby boy left, the world felt darker. This climb is about carrying Darwin with us every step of the way, turning our love for him into something meaningful, and helping other families feel supported when their world falls apart.

Forever loved, forever missed. Forever our baby. Forever climbing with us, Darwin.
