A big ol' run for Julie.

adidas Manchester Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
In November 2022, my mum, Julie Coster, lost her life to Motor Neuron Disease. We were not given much warning, though the signs were there, she was only diagnosed a week before her death. I'm not sure about you, but I think that takes the mick.
She was not allowed the opportunity to come to terms with her illness and in truth neither were those close around her. If this doesn't scream that Motor Neuron needs more funding I'm not sure what does. There is no cure for MND and there may never be, but the ability to diagnosis sooner and with haste allows a person to live their life not hoping it may get better but instead carry on living and coming to terms with what will eventually kill them.
With this in mind, and it has been constantly on my mind since she passed, I am running the 2025 Manchester Marathon in the hopes of making a slight dint in the funding needed to learn more about MND.
Julie was honestly quite brilliant. She was kind, and sweet and more than anything she was good person. Give what you can, give it when you can, but most of all just thanks for reading.
