Story
On Sunday 19th October Forest House Club coaches and members will be taking part in the Battle Cancer Challenge.
The Battle Cancer Challenge is a strength and fitness challenge for teams of four. The goal is to hit as many reps as possible in 90 minutes across nine fitness stations.
A rep is a metre moved, weight lifted, rep completed or £ raised.
We will be raising money for Shine Cancer Support who support individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer in their 20s, 30s and 40s.
Shine has played a significant role in supporting young people diagnosed with cancer.
There’s never a good time for a cancer diagnosis, but in your 20s, 30s and 40s there are particular challenges to navigate. Such as work, dating, finances etc. Shines focus is on helping people to deal with everything that a cancer diagnosis brings - before, during and after treatment.
Cancer rates are on the rise in young people and has increased nearly 25% between 1995 and 2019.
Thank you in advance for your donation from all of us at Forest House and Shine Cancer Support. The more we raise, the more Shine can do to help young adults and their families diagnosed with Cancer.
