Story

After our amazing son Edward (Bunty) Pearce was wrongly taken from us in a tragic road accident, we have created this legacy fundraiser in his memory in aid of a charity that had supported his brother, William.
Edward’s older brother William died from leukaemia in 2012, and after William’s diagnosis Edward, who was only four years old at the time, bravely became a bone-marrow donor.
In the wake of Edward’s death, Edward donated his organs, helping seven people in urgent need of transplants. Even in passing, Edward's kindness and compassion have given others the precious gift of life, creating a legacy that will endure for generations.
Edward was a much-loved son, family member, and friend. He lived life with boundless energy. His days were always filled with purpose, laughter, and adventure. He brought warmth, energy, and kindness to everyone around him, and had a remarkable ability to make people feel at ease.
While this loss is unimaginable for us, we take comfort in the love Edward shared throughout his life and the lasting impact he had on so many people. Those who knew Edward were touched by his generous spirit, and it was impossible not to be drawn to his infectious smile and caring nature.
Edward will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched, the happiness he brought to others, and the extraordinary gifts he gave to those he never met.
About Children With Cancer Fund (polegate)
CWCF was set up in 1998 by Ursula & Chris Downton with Kirsty & James Denny. Now, with the help of other friends and family, we still go out having fun raising funds to grant wishes to families that live in East Sussex, Brighton & Hove and who have children that have been diagnosed with cancer.
