Tamil Para Sports (‘TPS’), which is registered at the Charity Commission with number: 1188274. TPS works for the betterment of disabled people in the war-affected regions of Sri Lanka.

Over 38,000 disable people in the north and east of Sri Lanka who became disable as a result of the war and natural disasters. These are people who will need assistance throughout their lives. The core mission of TPS is to ensure that the disabled people live in comfort and dignity as equals.

The main objective of TPS is to provide a platform for:

• Global exposure to differently-abled people.

• The differently-abled people and stakeholders for interaction and coordination in their joint journey.

• The differently-abled people to identify, develop and expose their talents at national and international level.

• The differently-abled people to get relief from the physiological stress of stigma, discrimination and inaccessibility and to motivate them towards an active lifestyle.

• Collection of detailed information about the differently-abled population and their dependents with the aim of producing a comprehensive long-term needs analysis of the target population
