Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Our beautiful Olivia passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on 25/05/2024. She was a much loved daughter, sister, stepsister, girlfriend, member of the ambulance service (KCAS bears) and so much more to so many. At 24, she was so full of life and had so much life ahead of her. Everyone who met Olivia loved her and her bubbly personality. She is loved beyond measure and missed endlessly. Whilst we do not yet know why she passed, our family wish to raise awareness of this sudden death in young people through the non-profit charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) in her memory. Each week, approximately twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions and CRY work to prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through raising awareness, running screenings, conducting research and work to support affected families like ours. Please donate if you can or share the link below and look into having cardiac screening. If we can save just one family from going through the heartache we have been through these past weeks, it will be worth it. In her memory, we invite you to wear something blue (she had the most striking, memorable blue eyes) and to think of her. #forever24 #LIVlaughlove
