In Loving Memory of Our Billy
On May 22nd, 2023, our world changed forever. Just 11 days before his 26th birthday, we received the call no family should ever have to hear. Our precious Billy was taken from us long before his time. He was so full of life, love and promise - a beautiful soul whose story ended too soon.
Billy had the most incredible heart. He was passionate, kind and always wanted to help everyone. He had a gift of lifting people up and making everyone feel special. Billy’s presence left an imprint on every heart he met, and his legacy continues to guide and inspire us each day.
In honour of the light Billy shared with the world, we dedicate this challenge to him and to every family who has known such unimaginable loss.
We’re running the London Marathon 2026 together. Amy, Billy’s little sister and Pierce, his cousin. Billy was more than just family to us; he was our best friend. His absence has left a silence that can never be filled, and life will never be the same without his light. But through that pain, we’ve found a shared strength, and together, we’ve decided to turn our grief into something meaningful. This marathon is our tribute to him; a way to carry his spirit forward with every step.
Because when grief is shared, it doesn’t disappear but instead can be transformed into love, connection and strength 💚
This is why we’re running for Child Bereavement UK — an incredible charity that helps families find hope after the heartbreak of losing a child, and supports children who are grieving the loss of someone they deeply love and miss on this earth.
Their mission is to make sure no family has to face that pain alone. They provide families with space, care and understanding when it’s needed most, while helping communities better understand the lifelong impact of grief.
Every single donation, no matter how big or small, truly makes a huge difference to the help they are able to provide for these families. Your support helps fund counselling for grieving children and parents, training for schools and carers, and vital resources for families learning how to rebuild their lives after loss.
Together, we can turn pain into purpose and help bring hope to others who are walking the same road.
