Story
On 11th October, we'll be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon to support Forgotten Patients, Overlooked Diseases.
We are running to raise funds for a cause that is incredibly important to us. Forgotten Patients is dedicated to improving awareness, understanding, and care for people living with enduring symptoms and medically unexplained conditions.
A team from Forgotten Patients, Overlooked Diseases will be running the 13.1 mile (21.1km). Our brave runners include Lylah Drummond-Clarke, Amar Datta and Dr Jo d’Arcy.
Lylah is a Cancer Researcher at the University of Sussex currently working towards her PhD. She is also a science writer at St Gilesmedical London & Berlin
Amar is Index Equity Portfolio Manager at UBS Asset Management in London
Jo is Consultant Cardiologist and cardiovascular imaging specialist in Oxford
Millions of people experience symptoms that are difficult to diagnose and often spend years searching for answers. They can face uncertainty, delayed treatment, and a lack of support. Through education, research, advocacy, and collaboration, Forgotten Patients is working to ensure these patients are no longer overlooked.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help us continue this work and improve the lives of patients and their families. Thank you for supporting our challenge and helping us give a voice to those who are too often forgotten.
