In a world of plenty, no one should go hungry. Yet every day in London, children go to school on empty stomachs, parents skip meals to feed their families, and elderly neighbours quietly struggle behind closed doors.

At the same time, tonnes of perfectly good food are thrown away—unsold, uneaten, and unloved.

That's why I am proud to support the important work of The Felix Project in its mission to see a London where no good food goes to waste and no-one goes hungry.

They believe food is more than nourishment. It's dignity. It's energy for learning, strength to work, and a reason to gather around a table. Food is opportunity. Every day, their volunteers rescue surplus food from supermarkets, restaurants, and suppliers—food that would otherwise be wasted—and deliver it to charities, schools, and community organisations. What was once discarded becomes someone’s dinner. Someone’s breakfast. Someone’s lifeline.

Together, Citi colleagues in London chose The Felix Project as our London Charity Partner for 2025-2026.

Please support us to raise money that will go towards supporting The Felix Project's newly-refurbished South London depot. The depot will significantly boost the capacity of the organisation and mean that more food can be rescued and redistributed to struggling individuals and families across the capital.
