As our 2026 Corporate Charity Partner, Forterra are proudly supporting Cancer Research UK. To show our support for this worthy cause, we have four colleagues taking in a 575-mile cycle ride – Heidelberg Challenge 2026.

100% of the donations received will go towards continued research and development at Cancer Research UK.

The challenge begins on Thursday 24th September in Arras, where the team will begin a 214-mile ride through Northern France to Arlon. They will then head East through Luxembourg and the Hunsruck mountains to Mainz in Germany. The final leg involves a 170-mile journey through the Odenwald National Park and Heidelberg to the final destination – Stuttgart.

Our 2026 team riders are: Ian Holmes (Group Planning Manager), Nick Parkin (Production Manager), Gary Bell (National Sales Manager) and Andrew Groves (guest rider).
