Story
When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.

SAM’S TO THE DAM CYCLE RIDE
We'll spend 4 days in the saddle, cycling approximately 275 miles.
Starting at Sam’s House in Bristol, one of our Homes from Home, conquer the Cotswolds, experience cycling through the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty and celebrate in Amsterdam!
At Young Lives vs Cancer, Our Homes from Home are a free place for families to stay when their child is going through cancer treatment. They’re close to principal treatment centres, helping families avoid the extra financial burdens of travel, accommodation and food costs. They also allow young cancer patients to be close to their loved ones, keeping the family together at a difficult time.
Our fundraising goal is a substantial $2,100. With the help of all my family, friends, colleagues and supporters, I feel as though this is a more than achievable target! Please feel free to donate however much you can for Young Lives vs Cancer. For every £38 we raise, we could be ensuring that a family has a bed to sleep in close to where their child is receiving cancer treatment.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, Homes from Home are a slipper walk away from the hospitals and are a life line for families, helping them stay together during their child’s treatment.
