Story

Our beautiful mum, Lorna, passed away after a brave and heartbreaking battle with synovial sarcoma, a rare form of bone and soft tissue cancer, that after getting the all clear once came back and had spread to her lungs.

She was the heart of our family and loved so deeply. She brought so much love, strength, and warmth into our lives.

She went through so much, facing every treatment of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, an operation, and setbacks of sepsis, respiratory infections, blood clots and pleural infections. All of which she handled with strength, courage, and so much love for her family. Even when things became overwhelming, she never gave up.

In her final weeks, everything changed so quickly, but she kept fighting until the very end. She showed us what true strength really looks like.

Before she passed, we spoke about doing this challenge. She told us it was scary, but amazing, and that’s why we’re doing it for her.

After everything she went through, we feel like this is our way of doing something in her honour. She did something far scarier than this, and we want to make her proud.

We’re also hoping to raise money to support others facing this illness. Any donations will help support vital research and families going through similar battles.

Thank you to everyone who has been there for our mum and for us over the past two years.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any support, it truly means the world to us 🤍
