Story
Hello friends, family, and fellow mental health advocates!
After successfully conquering the Yorkshire Three Peaks last year, Hector O'Neill, Vik Sood, Sally Riley, Harry Tee, Jack Byrne, Kate Sinclair, Vikki d'Arcy, Will Gibbs, Felix Haston, Patrick Li, Luke Rosier, Rhianna Gandhi, Rowena Mockridge and Ebrima Mboob are thrilled to announce our next big challenge—the National Three Peaks Challenge—to continue raising funds for Mind, a vital charity dedicated to mental health support within the local community.
This year, we are setting ourselves the ambitious goal of completing the National Three Peaks Challenge within 24 hours. This gruelling event involves scaling the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon, respectively. The challenge involves a total ascent of 3,064 meters (10,052 feet), covering a total walking distance of 23 miles (37 km). Not only will the climbs test our limits, but we will also be traveling long distances by minivan, catching some rest in between the peaks thanks to the incredible generosity and support of our drivers, Jeremy and Sally.
Mind acts as a lifeline to many, working tirelessly to improve services, raise awareness, and promote understanding of mental health issues. With the ongoing challenges in mental health, supporting Mind means assisting in their efforts to provide essential services like the Infoline and Legal Line, and their continued advocacy for better mental health care.
Mind is a charity very dear to 4C Associates, since the passing of our friend and colleague Gavin Young last year In Gavin’s memory, we started the 100 Hills challenge, asking our colleagues to each climb a hill no matter how small in order to remember Gavin and his love of the outdoors. The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge was inspired by Gavin and completed in tribute to him, and raised nearly £6,000 for Mind. This year, we’d love to raise even more to help people struggling with their mental health
Your sponsorship not only fuels our climb but also contributes to a world where mental health is treated with the same urgency as physical health. Every pound raised helps Mind to keep providing crucial support and campaigning for improved services. Please click on the 'Donate Now' button to make a contribution. Your support means more now than ever.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. We promise to keep you updated with our training and share plenty of photos from our adventure across the three peaks!
Together, we can tackle this monumental challenge and continue making a significant impact in the lives of those affected by mental health issues.
