Story
Assalam’ualaykum wa rahmatullah (peace and blessings be upon you),
This October, I will personally be travelling to Djibouti with Ethar Relief, through the Amanah Project, to deliver aid directly to some of the most vulnerable communities in East Africa.
Djibouti is one of the most poverty-stricken regions in the world.
According to the WFP, over 79% of the population lives in poverty, with nearly half in extreme poverty. More than 90% of the country’s food is imported, leaving families extremely vulnerable to hunger and rising prices.
With your generous support, we can make a real difference by:
- Supporting refugee communities through food distribution and aid delivery.
- Ensuring safe shelter for families in urgent need.
- Supporting education for over 300 children.
- Providing clean water and healthcare for 1,500 individuals.
- Empowering women through sustainable livelihood projects.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." (Tirmidhi)
Together, let’s be a source of shade and mercy for our brothers and sisters by bringing hope, dignity and lasting change.
This is simply about standing together for humanity.
Let’s make every act of kindness count.
