We exist to defend the right to a safe home and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society. We believe that home is everything.

Story

My name is Fox Laverty, I live in Garstang and I am 9 years old.

Last year I "lived" on the street for 24hrs to raise awareness for The Homeless. I did this after seeing a Homeless person in my town and raised nearly £2,000 for Shelter.

This year some of my friends from Garstang St Thomas' School are going to do it with me so that we can raise more awareness and more money for the Homeless.

As a team we want to raise in excess of £2,000 but more importantly raise awareness that we have too many people without a home.

Here are my friends that are helping the homeless:

Theo from my class:

‘I am joining Fox in completing this 24 hours living on the street to raise as much money as possible to help the homeless. I hope the money we are able to raise helps people that haven’t got a bed or a house’.

Albie, his younger brother.

‘I’m taking part in this challenge because I want to help people that don’t have anywhere to live. Please support us by making a small donation if you can. Thank you’.

Elijah from my class.

I want to raise money so homeless people can live in a cosy home.

Haydee, his sister from my school.

I want to help raise money so people don't have to live on the streets. Everyone has a right to have a place they can call home.

Coleby, his younger brother.

I don't want people to live on the streets. It will be scary. They need somewhere safe.

(Elijah, Haydee and Coleby helped me last year.)
