45 for 45: Join us in raising £45k for another 45 years of Foxton Preschool

For 45 years, Foxton Preschool has been a cornerstone of our village. In that time, we've touched the lives of thousands of children, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends, many of whom still reside in the village. Now we need your support to ensure we can continue our important work for another 45 years.

Weaving the Fabric of Community:

As a village, we understand the importance of community. Foxton Preschool, along with Foxton Primary School, represent some of the essential threads in the fabric of our community. A strong Preschool isn’t just for the parents of young children; it has a positive impact on our village as a whole. It ensures an ongoing healthy flow of children into our Primary School, and helps attract young families to Foxton itself, which is paramount to us retaining the vibrant community we all enjoy today.

Adapting to the economic environment:

It cannot be ignored that Preschools around the country are facing economic pressures, with many being forced to close. In response to the economic climate and changing needs of working parents, Foxton Preschool has stepped up to evolve. We are now open four days a week, from 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM. Under our new manager, Kelly Dunne, and supported by an enthusiastic team, we have already seen a significant increase in the number of children attending.

Creating a supportive ecosystem for working parents:

A strong Preschool is important for a strong Primary School, and vice versa. Importantly, Foxton Primary School is also introducing wrap-around care. This, together with a four day a week Preschool, creates a supportive ecosystem for both working parents and the Preschool and School. We hope to further increase the number of days we are open and the number of children we feed into Foxton Primary School.

Your Contribution Matters:

To continue serving our community, now and for another 45 years, we are aiming to raise £45,000. Preschool will use these funds in the short term to update and improve essential resources and facilities for the children and to replenish reserves, placing us on a secure financial footing, and over the longer term to invest in our future, to attract and support staff and to develop the childcare which will allow us to grow and continue to provide excellent schooling for all the families in Foxton for at least another 45 years.
