More about The Samson Centre for MS

At the heart of Guildford, the Samson Centre for MS is more than a charity — it’s a community. Supporting people across Surrey and surrounding areas, we are here to help those living with Multiple Sclerosis stay active, connected and positive.

Today, we’re proud to support over 200 members, including 180 oxygen therapy users, with the help of our wonderful team of 13 staff and 25 dedicated volunteers. Together, we create a place where people feel understood, encouraged and never alone.

Moving Forward Together

Physiotherapy and exercise can make a real difference for people living with MS. That’s why we offer both one-to-one and group physiotherapy sessions, tailored to each person’s symptoms and mobility.

From lively circuit-style classes to gentle stretching and balance sessions, there’s something for everyone — no matter where they are on their MS journey.

Our fully equipped gym, led by a professional instructor, provides a safe and supportive space to build strength, confidence and independence.

Breathing Space with Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy can help ease symptoms for some people with MS. In our Bradbury Annexe, we have two individual oxygen chambers and one multi-person chamber, all run by our incredible volunteers.

We’re also pleased to offer oxygen therapy to people living with other conditions such as Long Covid, Parkinson’s, cancer and sports injuries — extending our care to even more members of the local community.

Friendship, Laughter and Support

MS can sometimes feel isolating, but no one at the Samson Centre has to face it alone.

Our welcoming lounge is a place to relax after a session, share a cup of tea and chat with others who truly understand. Many lasting friendships have started right here.

We also organise social activities beyond the Centre — from kayaking adventures to meals out — because living well with MS is about joy and connection as much as treatment.

Caring for the Whole Person

We believe in supporting both body and mind. Alongside our physical therapies, we offer:

Weekly counselling

Reflexology twice a month

A friendly choir every Monday

And we’re always exploring new ways to support our members’ wellbeing.
