Anyone diagnosed with cancer will often talk about life before cancer and life after cancer. Its a distinct line you cross and life is never quite the same ever again.

Whilst navigating your path through cancer treatment you trust the medical staff you are under to provide your treatment plan. For me, this was breast surgery followed by chemotherapy, then radiotherapy. Sounds straight forward, until you're the one going through it. And somewhere along the way you completely loose sight of who you are, because the person you were before cancer, has gone. And you find yourself standing there and you don't recognise yourself anymore, either physically or emotionally. You're lost.

I remember the first or second time I went to the monthly meetings for Terrible Titties and Other Bitties, and one of the members was talking to me and I suddenly felt heard. I didn't need to be strong and brave and positive. I was just me, going through a really tough time surrounded by other women doing the same. And in that moment I felt I could breathe again. And that's why support groups are so important. Terrible Titties continue to go from strength to strength supporting all those going through cancer treatment.

I knew I wanted to do something to raise funds for this much needed charity who support so many on their cancer journey and beyond. I've chosen to run the Manchester Marathon 27th April and really hope I can give something back. I would really appreciate your support no matter how small in helping me achieve my goal of raising £2000 for this wonderful charity ❤️
