Story

If you can please donate to help me reach my target of £350. Thank you so much, I appreciate all your support greatly!!

In January 2023 whilst my sister was in hospital after suffering a brain injury, the Sick Children’s Trust housed my parents for a month. The support of the Sick Children’s Trust and in particular Crawford House was vital for me and my family during this extremely difficult time. The charity allowed us to be close to my sister whilst she was in hospital.

We live 60 miles away from the Royal Victoria Infirmary where my sister was being treated so being able to live on the hospital site, which Crawford House allowed my parents to do, was so incredibly emotionally and financially helpful. I did not stay there for the month, however Crawford House allowed me to easily visit my parents and my sister during this period. Crawford House also gave me a space to do homework which meant I did not have to complete my schoolwork on busy hospital floors.

My family is only one of the 3,500 families the Sick Children Trust helps a year. As the Sick Children’s Trust was so vital for my family and many others, I will be giving back by running the Great North Run (half marathon) for this charity.

If you can please donate to help me reach my target of £350. Thank you so much, I appreciate all your support greatly!!
